Exact for Manufacturing and WholesaleDistribution Innovation: Warehouse REST APIs

Developers of logistics applications, such as warehouse management systems (WMS) and production schedulers, require access to stock positions by location and the planned stock positions by date. Two recently released REST API endpoints support these needs.

Which REST API endpoint to use? The REST API endpoint ItemWarehouses can be used to retrieve the total in-stock quantity and total planned quantity of an item in a particular warehouse. (The functionality to use multiple warehouses is only supported in Exact for Manufacturing and Exact for WholesaleDistribution Advanced edition and higher). The new REST API endpoint ItemWarehouseStorageLocations can be used to retrieve the in-stock quantity of an item in a particular warehouse by storage location. (The functionality to use multiple storage locations is only supported in Exact for Manufacturing and Exact for WholesaleDistribution Premium edition and higher). The new REST API endpoint ItemWarehousePlanningDetails can be used to retrieve the planned quantity of an item in a particular warehouse by date – and provides keys to the underlying transactions. (This API can be used in all editions  of Exact for Manufacturing and Exact for WholesaleDistribution).
