IT Security Specialist

As an IT Security Specialist at Exact, you will be responsible for safeguarding the Corporate IT environment by implementing and maintaining robust security measures. You will play a key role in managing identity and access, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement in security processes.

This is a medior-level position suited for a professional with a strong technical foundation and a passion for innovation. Your overall responsibilities are;

• Overall IT Security Management for Exact’s Corporate IT environment.
• Design, implement, and maintain Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
• Monitor and enhance security posture across Microsoft 365, Intune, and Microsoft Defender.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure secure configuration and maintenance of systems.”
• Analyze security data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Drive process improvements and challenge existing practices to innovate and strengthen security.
• Act as a trusted advisor for security-related topics within Corporate IT.
• Key contact for Information Security Compliance & Operations department.
• Implement security controls aligned to Exact’s Information Security policies and 2nd line requirements
• Managing third‑party security providers (SOC), ensuring timely follow‑up on SOC alerts

For the position of IT Security Specialist within our corporate IT Team, it’s helpful if you have good communication and the ability to work cross-functionally. And it’s of course really important that you have strong knowledge of IAM principles and technologies. And Microsoft 365 security expertise (Intune, Conditional Access, DLP, PIM, M365 auditing, Secure Score, Defender XDR). What’s more, you bring:

• 7+ years of experience in IT security roles, preferably in corporate environments.
• Experience managing or interacting with SOC or MSSP providers
• Familiarity with ServiceNow for ITSM and security workflows.
• Experience tuning and interpreting alerts in Microsoft Defender and supporting incident response processes. 
• Understanding of security risk assessment concepts and threat‑led improvements (Microsoft Security Baselines, CIS Contols)
• Familiarity with security architecture principles (e.g., Zero Trust)
• Experience producing and maintaining security documentation (standards, procedures, evidence)
• Proven ability to challenge the status quo and implement innovative security solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR).
• Knowledge of endpoint security and mobile device management.
• Scripting or automation skills for security tasks.
• Relevant Microsoft security certifications (e.g., SC‑300, SC‑200, AZ‑500) are a plus.
