Exact is on the hunt for a talented and passionate Brand Manager to lead the Brand team within the Marketing organisation. This role combines strong executional ownership with strategic exposure and leadership in positioning Exact towards our stakeholders. 


In this role, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of impactful branding strategy aligned with our overall strategy. You will ensure to drive future brand growth by translating the Exact strategy in our branding work and brand architecture. You manage our marketing campaign, sponsoring activities, media strategy, coordinate multi-market delivery, measure brand performance and collaborate cross-functionally. 

You also lead the Brand team. You will support them in the day-to-day activities and inspire the team with your outside-in perspective and will challenge them in their daily work to drive high quality. 

Key responsibilities

As Brand Manager you define and develop the long-term roadmap for the Exact marketing campaign and for branding programs and related activities centered around business themes on the given budget. Together with your team, you will:

  • Brand strategy: Develop brand strategy and programs, lead the Exact marketing campaign and drive innovative branding initiatives and projects. Translate internal and external developments into tangible projects to drive our brand. Support with cascading campaign, toolkits and playbooks to the relevant stakeholders and following up on progress to measure success. Align with the Talent Acquisition team on how we position Exact as a great place to work.
  • Media strategy: Identify the best channels to reach target audiences, communicate insights, and roll out brand and marketing assets across physical and digital platforms. Responsible for the development of media campaigns and activations. 
  • Team management and external resources: Lead, inspire and develop the team to drive high quality, accurate and timely support. Work with your team members on the related initiatives and support them in day-to-day branding activities. Build a network of external specialists and agencies where applicable.
  • Calendar & execution: Manage the global branding calendar, plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaign, and lead branded communications execution on budget. Connect regularly with the dedicated field marketeers for our Belgian and Spanish markets.
  • Brand governance & visual consistency: Ensure a consistent brand architecture and drive adoption by the creative team and throughout the organisation. Drive the correct use of all elements of the brand through the whole company, ensure global branded content adheres to tone of voice as well as developing a network of brand ambassadors. 
  • Stakeholder engagement: Responsible for the development and execution of internal and external engagement programs and branding programs. This involves collaboration with internal Sales and HR stakeholders and interaction with customers and other external stakeholders. Communication is focused on influencing and engaging stakeholders both in- and outside Exact.

The ideal candidate is a visionary thinker in branding and has a hands-on mentality to translate internal and external developments into tangible initiatives, actions and projects to drive our branding activities.

  • You have a bachelor/masters degree in marketing or communication, and 10+ years of working experience in marketing/brand activities of which preferably at least 3 years developing branding experience. 
  • You inspire people in- and outside the company with your innovative view around brand identity. 
  • True leadership qualities: you lead yourself effectively, remain authentic, and lead others by building strong connections and inspiring growth and change.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Fluent in both Dutch and English.
