Exact strengthens leadership team with the appointment of Jeroen van der Heijden as Chief Technology Officer

Delft, 1st of August 2018 - Jeroen van der Heijden has been appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Exact. In this role, he is responsible for driving technology innovation as well as software development for Exact’s current and future products. The appointment of Jeroen is part of the innovation boost that Exact recently set in motion.

No stranger

Jeroen is no stranger to Exact as he served as a technological leader here from 1991 to 2005. He was a key member of the engineering team that worked on Exact Globe and its predecessors. Subsequently, this group created the first versions of Exact Synergy. Jeroen was also part of the team that developed the early editions of Exact Online.

Taking home experience

In 2005, Jeroen founded a startup, Yuki, with two former Exact employees. Three years later, he joined Q-go (now part of Oracle). Afterwards, he made a move to HR software supplier Raet as CTO. From there, he became CTO of cegeka-dsa, where he has worked for the past two years.

Jeroen: "Working at Exact is going to feel like coming home. I worked on the Exact products for fifteen years and I am looking forward to bring my experience back to further enhance the products and the organisation in my new role as CTO.”

Innovation is priority

Phill Robinson, CEO at Exact: "I am very happy that Jeroen is now part of the executive team and believe that he is qualified like no other to take Exact into the next innovative phase of its journey. We aim to extend our innovation and strength through the Exact Globe, Synergy and Exact Online roadmaps. That is why we announced Exact’s innovation focus on cloud technology and payroll processing last month. The acquisition of Parentix, the cooperation with Loket.nl, and the appointment of Jeroen all contribute to this. His way of working fits perfectly with the new focus of Exact.”
