Exact is aiming for the next step and is again going to set the scene in the accounting industry. We will do this by adding an open banking strategy and solutions to our rich portfolio. The sky might not even be the limit! For this amazing new phase, we are looking for a Senior Product Owner Open Banking who sees the same opportunities and can bring new insights or ideas. We are ‘Open’ for ‘Open Banking’.

As a senior product owner, your in-depth understanding of business processes and customer requirements allow you to successfully realize our open banking product strategy. Your success is driven by your effective communication with customers and banks and your ability to challenge technical teams to find the best solution possible.

The job responsibilities span the entire product lifecycle from conception and planning to design and launch activities of our Open Banking solution. You will work with commercial product managers, research & innovation and product development to achieve revenue and profit goals. You will do this by creating the best solution in the market combined with our world class accounting software. 

You inspire and challenge other product owners and technical teams to find the best solutions possible. You coordinate stakeholder input, collect and prioritize customer needs and translate these into product requirements via the product backlog. You are the central contact person for your scrum development team and our Exact Payment Services organization that holds our PSD2 license. You are also the link between Development and our Productline organization.

A strong understanding of the open banking and accounting market, technologies and solutions are crucial to be able to define and prioritize product feature requirements and strategy. Experience in an agile software development environment, in particular SCRUM, would be an advantage. You have proven experience in translating strategy into actionable product requirements, functional specifications and business process descriptions.

Your responsibilities as a product owner Open Banking
  • Coordinate stakeholder input, collect and prioritize business needs and translate business needs into product requirements via the product backlog.
  • Manage the product backlog for the SCRUM team working on your product.
  • Act as a bridge between commercial product management and development departments and act as a knowledge base for stakeholders.
  • Act as central contact for the proposition from a product point of view and work on long-term product strategy together with the commercial product manager.
  • Manage projects executed by cross-functional teams.
  • Align with Exact Payments Services, banks and other (partner) PSP’s 
This = what you bring
  • You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent level in a related field.
  • You have at least five years' experience in product management or product development in the business software industry or financial industry. Preferrable you worked at a PSP, Fintech or Bank in the past.
  • Terminology like PSD2, CDD, PSP, Open Banking, Embedded Banking, Payment Initiation, AIS, SaaS, API and Consent does not only ring a bell but have no secret for you as well.
  • You know how to build the right thing for your (future) users by challenging and validating your own assumptions using product discovery techniques and you measure the success of your product initiatives based on predefined key results and goals
  • You can inspire your own development team to deliver the best solution possible
  • You have a good understanding of the specific needs within our target group (entrepreneurs and accountants) due to your work experience in this domain.
  • You have excellent communication skills in Dutch and English and are able to build and maintain relationships.
