ELIS: the central point for all your integrations

Exact Lightweight Integration Server (ELIS) is going into Controlled Release as from this week. This means that customers participating in the controlled release phase are now able to benefit from this new technology.

ELIS is a new technical framework for the integration between Exact Globe en Exact Synergy. The framework supports add-ons that exchange information between these two products and possible third-party solutions.

Central place for integrations

Via the ELIS control centre you can centrally install, activate and manage add-ons (such as Exact Integration, CMDM, Shop Floor Control, Word Merge and Exchange Integration). It comes with a central and proactive logging feature, which means that you can manage all integrations from one central place. And if any errors occur, you can simply re-submit the data from that central place. Better still, ELIS will send you a notification by e-mail or via the workflow, to ensure that you can take immediate action and can re-submit the data.

Performance and scalability

Another important development is that the framework supports multiple sessions and multiple users for optimum performance and scalability. This means, for example, that you can manage several 1-1 Globe-Synergy integrations from a central management console.

Planning and updates

The ELIS framework will become available in Exact Globe version 409 and in Synergy version 254. Initially we are going to go into Controlled Release with the add-ons Exact Integration, Word Merge and Shop Floor Control. There is a bonus for Shop Floor Control: because Exact Integration is no longer a prerequisite, we now also support it in combination with CMDM or XML-integration.

In the coming months we are also going to migrate other solutions to the ELIS framework such as CMDM, Exchange Integration and Service Management. Keep an eye on the product blog for more information on this as we will be posting regular updates there.

Please contact your account manager if you want to participate in the Controlled Release or Sander van Triet if you have any questions about the ELIS framework.
