DNA Green Group able to turn international growth ambitions into a reality thanks to new Exact company software

Delft, 18 September 2014 - DNA Green Group, one of the world's largest breeders of cut flowers, pot plants, seasonal products and perennial plants, has opted for Exact. DNA Green Group is a global company. With a view to expanding its international operations, the company requires a single uniform method of working for its financial processes and HRM. The company's larger branches in seven different countries are therefore going to start using Exact. By opting for the Exact standard solutions, DNA Green Group aims to increase administrative efficiency, reduce the chance of errors and facilitate a process of scaling up in order to fulfil its growth ambitions.

A system that can grow with the company is essential in this. As Roger Gerritzen, CFO of the DNA Green Group, explains, “In the past, each country in which DNA Green Group operates had its own HRM and financial management method of working. The decision to use Exact software will now standardise this for the various countries. If DNA Green Group ventures into other countries, Exact enables us simply to scale up worldwide. This is important, for example, due to our increasing use of seasonal workers. An additional benefit is that Exact offers language and legislation support in more than 40 countries.”

No more errors

DNA Green Group needed a financial and HRM system that is integrated, flexible and scalable. The various methods used in the different countries created a great deal of overlap and margin for error when it came to entering financial data and HR administration. The Exact systems now make ‘single entry’ possible. As a result, data only has to be entered once. The information entered is distributed directly throughout the entire organisation and is accessible to all employees. Consequently, DNA Green Group will have a ready-made HRM solution for, among other things, leave and absenteeism, reports and the sharing of policy information.

Even more benefits

DNA Green Group will be able to achieve even greater efficiency using purchase-to-pay (P2P). P2P is integrated into the Exact business software and offers a complete solution for the full digitisation of the document flow from purchase to payment. As a result, invoices can be automatically entered into the system and no longer have to be manually approved. DNA Green Group can in this way digitise the entire process from request to payment and this will lead to improved supervision of the procurement of goods and services.

Jarno van Hurne, ‎Product Marketing Director Business Solutions at Exact, adds, “We have noticed an increasing demand from our clients for international standard solutions. It is often still the case that each of the countries in which the company operates has its own method of working. In order to grow it is important for global players like DNA Green Group to make more efficient use of a single uniform system. This enables companies to increase efficiency, reduce the error margin and eventually save costs. What is more, it gives international organisations the flexibility to scale up quickly at a global level.”
