Do you want to make a step into product management? Great, this could be your chance. We are looking for a product manager with knowledge of the accountancy domain. We will guide you, so you can successfully contribute to the development of our product. 
As a product manager, you are the linking pin between the product line and the development organization. You have a good understanding of business processes and customer requirements within the accountancy domain. You have gained this knowledge in your current or previous job. With your knowledge and the guidance of the team, you will successfully contribute to the realization of our product strategy. 

Your success is driven by your personal development and your effective communication. You will work together with customers and internal stakeholders. Your will learn how to challenge and inspire technical teams so together you can find the best solution possible. You do that while being part of the Product Line team, responsible for our Exact Online Accountancy solutions and will report to the Product Line Manager.

  • Translate business needs into product requirements via the product backlog.
  • Manage the product backlog for the SCRUM team(s) working on your product.
  • Maintain the product backlog, clearly expressing user stories and prioritizing them to best achieve goals.
  • Ensure that the product backlog is visible, transparent and clear to all involved.
  • Make sure that the development teams understand requirements and functional context to the level needed to build them.
  • Accept finished user stories, making sure the right level of quality is assured - focusing primarily on fitness for use.
  • Act as a bridge between the accountancy business and technology. 
  • Act as a knowledge base for all your stakeholders.
  • Act as central contact for the proposition from a product point of view and work on long-term product strategy together with the product line team.
  • Coordinate dependencies with other PO's for projects involving multiple teams.

  • In-depth knowledge on the business processes of an accountancy firm and understand the specific needs of our accountancy customers.

  • You have the ability to apply, translate and validate the necessary knowledge to new and changing business solutions.
  • Dedication to learn how to build the right functionality for your users by challenging and validating your own assumptions using product discovery techniques and measure the success of your product initiatives based on predefined key results and goals.
  • A hands-on mentality.
  • Dedication and devotion; you treat a roadmap as a promise not an activity list.
  • Excellent communication skills and can communicate effectively in verbal and written English and Dutch.
